I love God. And I don’t hesitate to say so.
We often are lead to believe in a serious God. The Almighty God who punishes whom he wills and tests you till you weaken, yet expect you to keep your faith- someone who looks down at you and considers you a sinner.
Yet, no one knows a God who loves and enjoys spending time with you. None sees God as a Father but as a severe taskmaster. We don’t consider God as someone who reaches out his hand in invitation, welcoming you.
In this world, no one will stick with you forever. It is the inevitable truth. Parents, friends and loved ones- they will drift away. No one will ever be there for you, every moment of your life- no one except God.
Think about this- God created this world. He created man to enjoy it and be his friend. Even after man fell, he came himself down to this earth.
Consider, that God, a spiritual being in perfection, coming down to this earth, in a form of a man with flesh, blood and bone.
For what purpose did he come? He came to die. To die for all mankind, the cruellest and painful death- to save them from sin. We are here because of a sacrifice that was made all those years ago on a cross to save us.
Why would God come himself, if he was so severe? It is not brutality that drives such an honourable feat, but love for us, at its pure essence. We only remember him in his anger, and never in his peace.
If you look at a bird, or a mountain, or the brilliant sky and sparkling seas, can’t you see his nature? He created all of those and more- his creation reflects his nature. And he created man to enjoy what he made.
The next time you need to reach out to God, remember this- he doesn’t detest you, he loves you. And if you trust in him, no matter what comes your way, you will make it through. He guides you continually if you listen.
He loves and cherishes you, every one of you out there. He knows you more than anyone and better than anyone. Never hesitate to ask him for guidance on what you need to do or how to move forward.
I am just here to remind you that he cares for you! He is genuinely interested in you. I am speaking from my experience- he will never leave you or forsake you. Pray, talk to him and learn to love him more and more.
When we love truly God, we cannot hate anyone.
